For Immediate Release Date: April 12, 2021 Multiple sites opening in Lake County as Illinois COVID-19 vaccine eligibility expands Lake County, Ill. — The Lake County Health Department and partners Baxter and Curative are pleased to announce the opening of a new COVID-19 vaccination site on April 20, 2021, in Round Lake Beach, Illinois. The new site, located at 400 E Rollins Rd (the former K-Mart Supercenter) will offer indoor COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment to all who live or work in Lake County, Illinois, ages 16 and older, at no cost. When vaccine supply allows the facility to reach its peak capacity of 5,000 vaccinations per day, this will be the largest vaccination site in the county. “We are thrilled to announce this location for COVID-19 vaccinations, a culmination of extensive planning and collaboration with our partners,” said Mark Pfister, Executive Director at the Lake County Health Department. “This site will improve access for those who live and work in Lake County to receive a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine, the best tool we have to protect our families and communities.” Vaccinations will be offered by appointment only, Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Residents may schedule appointments at cur.tv/lakeco. |
